Entrance to the EBRD headquarters in London

Making a difference in countries from central Europe to central Asia

The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development has a unique mission. From its beginnings in 1991, when communism was crumbling in eastern Europe and the countries of the former Soviet Union, the Bank has helped to foster private enterprise and democratic development. Today the EBRD uses the tools of investment to help build market economies in 29 countries from central Europe to central Asia.

Working for the EBRD offers a unique opportunity to foster entrepreneurship, economic growth and democratic institutions across the region. Whether based in our London headquarters or in one of our many local offices you will work with a highly dedicated team on challenging and rewarding projects.

Multi-cultural environment

We recruit exceptionally talented people who are representative of a rich diversity of cultures, languages and professional backgrounds. The EBRD is an exciting and truly international place to work. Staff members from around the globe come together to make a difference in the countries in which we invest. Our people give us a depth of talent, creativity, innovation and experience that is second to none.

Challenging roles, international opportunities

Whether you're a banker, a risk manager, an economist, a lawyer or an IT professional, the EBRD has a variety of challenging opportunities. Wherever you work, your talents and experience will be put to good use. Join our London headquarters or broaden your horizons by working in cities like Bucharest, Moscow, Almaty or Tbilisi, to name a few. We offer short- and long-term assignments, as well as permanent roles throughout our network of offices.

Work-life balance

The health and well-being of our staff is very important to us. We support measures to ensure that our people can achieve a good balance between their professional and private lives. These include working from home, flexible hours, reduced or compacted working weeks, and job-sharing arrangements. We provide generous paid maternity and paternity leave, parental leave and unpaid study leave. In addition, the Bank has an employee assistance programme.
