Job Purpose
The Business Development Manager leads one of five sector teams in identifying and evaluating business opportunities, initiates ideas based on market analysis and insight. The Business Development Manager also performs early stage assessments on ventures brought to Alghanim by outside sources such as business partners and/or investment banks.
Key Accountabilities
• Assist in evaluating business model ideas bottom up (as required)
o Market size and trends
o Potential sources of differentiation and unique positioning
o Business model definition
o Required capabilities and investment
o Partnership strategies
o Risk assessment and mitigation strategies
• Assist in developing network of contacts to develop concepts into concrete business opportunities/business plans
• Spot market opportunities and define potential new business models
• Provide expertise on and experience in selection of market and target assessment tools (financial as well as strategic)
• Coach more junior team members to become successful future managers at AI

• Strong English language capabilities, Arabic or other regional language a real asset
• Approx. 5 years experience in professional environment (consulting, PE investing, investment banking, respected company) or total of 7 years work experience
• Strong analytical and numerical skills
• Ability to coach and train younger team members
• Real team player
• Experience in structuring and delivering presentations |
