The Annual Game Day Case Competition is the only sports case competition of its kind—bringing together JD and MBA students to take a multidisciplinary approach to analyzing, presenting and negotiating solutions to real-world legal and business problems.

Description
Presented by Villanova's Charles Widger School of Law and UCLA's Anderson School of Management, the Ninth Annual Game Day Competition will be held on Friday, March 31st and Saturday April 1st 2023.

This year's competition will be held in-person at Villanova University.

The Annual Game Day Case Competition is the only sports case competition of its kind in the nation, bringing together JD and MBA students to both present and negotiate solutions to cutting edge topics in sports law and business. Teams from across the country will take a multidisciplinary approach to analyzing, presenting and negotiating solutions to real-world legal and business problems.

Teams of 3-5 students will compete for cash prizes totaling $10,000!!!. Winners will be selected by a panel of senior executives and industry professionals who are leading and shaping the future of the sports industry.
Students who are unable to create a team but would like to still compete, please contact Samantha Myers at samantha.myers@law.villanova.edu.

Early registration: $400 will end on March 6, 2023
Normal registration: $500 deadline March 16, 2023

Registration fee includes teams entrance to the Jeffrey S. Moorad Sports Law Symposium on Friday, March 31st.

Dates: March 31st – April 1st at Villanova University.
Prizes: Total of $10K

Eligibility requirements: Each team is required to have at least one J.D. student and one MBA candidate
Team members must come from both the business and law school of the same college/university. If a university has only one of the two graduate schools, the interested team may recruit from another local college with the Competition Organizer’s prior approval.
