He frequently publishes on the subject of gender and leadership, e.g. in Harvard Business Review. His most recent article is on “The Traps That Keep Women from Reaching the Top and How to Avoid Them”. He is one of the authors of "Leading in the Top Team" (Cambridge 2008), edited by IMD Professor Preston Bottger. He teaches on Leadership Values and Intercultural Leadership in the Executive Education programmes of the HEC University of Geneva.
Paul holds a BA, MA and PhD in History from the Catholic University of Nijmegen (NL) and is a Chartered Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (UK). A certified MRG, SHL, PDI, and Linkage International coach, he is qualified in numerous psychometric tests, assessment, selection and 360° feedback processes.

Cathriona Hallahan Joined Microsoft in February 1986 in Finance. Over the course of 10 years she held various roles from cost accountant, accounts supervisor, and finance manager. During this time Cathriona contributed to some revolutionary changes in Microsoft which involved setting up the commission agent structure, centralising all warehouse, operations functions to support our Full Packaged Products, Licensing and Programs businesses.
Beginning in 1996 Cathriona joined operations to lead the organization responsible for managing operations for marketing programs like MSDN, TechNet, MSPP, MCP/MCT, Courseware, and End User Fulfilment. Cathriona also lead a key strategic Sales Marketing & Services Group project known as Project Spirit which was driving the strategy to centralise the pre-sales call centres that support the subsidiaries and then transition responsibility for running the operation to CSS.
Cathrionas first global role in August 2003 had responsibility across Microsoft Operations organization to develop the Customer Partner Experience (CPE) strategy.
In February 2005 Cathriona became responsible for the EMEA MBS business. In February 2006, she took global responsibility for MBS and was responsible for the operational execution of the MBS processes including agreement processing, order management, query management and operational program management.
In January of last year Cathriona became Managing Director of EOC and also kept responsibility for MBS Operations WW.
