Job Description :
The Global Benefits Project Director is a unique temporary leadership role (12 - 18 months) that will provide a critical level of support to the NA Rewards Director by executing a complex set of benefits projects across the globe. The role will be the strategic partner responsible for the overall coordination, implementation, execution, and completion of projects, ensuring timely planning and execution according to an agreed schedule with the Rewards Director. Your mission will be to execute against the Global Benefits Roadmap in a seamless way and manage the projects necessary to ensure that completion of the set goals. You will work collaboratively across all regions and departments including legal, procurement, finance and local Rewards.
Leadership Responsibilities/ Key Stakeholders:
To manage strategic global benefits projects and initiatives to align with the Diageoís strategic benefit framework:
Partner with Rewards Director to strategically implement the Diageo global benefits framework that will include, benefits design, broker reviews, group pooling opportunities, and implementation of administration changes.
Assist all the regions in understanding and facilitate the implementation of changes identified under the benefits framework. Coordinate between all stakeholders
Project management to include advising and informing management on the state of benefits projects worldwide, demonstrating an understanding of the local market dynamics impacting the projectís completion.
Prepare worldwide annual budgets and monitor administrative costs and pricing of benefit programs and recommend cost containment strategies, including alternate methods of administration.
For project implementations serve as primary contact and partner with Benefits Brokers/Consultants and vendor partners to ensure benefits are designed competitively and delivered efficiently and effectively with the highest levels of service.
Manage strong cross-functional relationships with payroll, finance, legal, compliance, communications, IT and other HR colleagues including the regional HR teams.
Coach, mentor, motivate local Rewards and HR leaders and influence them to take positive action and accountability for their assigned work.
Be a champion for innovation in the benefit space. Know what best in class companies are doing and look to integrate best practices.
Ensure benefit programs support the companyís strategic objectives by remaining knowledgeable of the key business goals.
Qualifications and Experience Required
10+ years of relevant global benefits experience, including experience with designing, implementing, and managing Benefit Programs.
Bachelor's Degree in a related field required, preferably in Human Resources and/or Business Administration. MBA or Masterís Degree in HR-related field strongly preferred.
Strong knowledge of Benefits strategy, design and administration.
Solid problem solving and time management skills.
Excellent communication skills (written, verbal, interpersonal and presentation) and strong executive presence.
Benefits leadership experience in a large, global company
Strong attention to detail and highly organized.
Results-driven professional with demonstrated track record of developing and executing strategies and displays a sense of urgency.
Solid business acumen and strategic thinker with an excellent grasp of the financial and economic drivers of the overall business.
Proven leadership and project management skills and a demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and drive results.
Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with a variety of stakeholders; consultative and collaborative style that allows for influence without authority.
Working knowledge of HR and/or Payroll software such as Workday, ADP, or other.
