Global QSE directs the global approach to quality, health, safety, and the environment in Vestas throughout the value chain. The function supports both very strategic & operational QSE tasks towards achieving the QSE goals and targets, as well as directs the Global Management System and its certification against ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and OHSAS 18001. Global QSE works closely with QSE Leaders out in the business and module leaders in Vestas Power Solutions.
You will handle a team of ten Specialists in DK, UK, and Portugal. Besides your team, you will be part of the leadership team consisting of six Managers including the Director. Directing and coordinating a key strategic function within Global Development & Excellence called Advanced QSE Leads (AQL). Advanced QSE Leads are responsible to initiate the initiatives on quality, health & safety and the environment from the global QSE strategy throughout the product development for the complete value chain from design to manufacturing, installation, service and decommissioning
Management of the team of 10 employees at a specialist level located in five locations in Denmark, United Kingdom, and Portugal
Maintaining an overview of the development projects by ensuring resource allocations, be part of setting targets for the projects and track QSE performance
Ensure that the QSE deliverables and the associated business processes are matured and improved continuously through fact and data analysis
Accountable to handle the stakeholder's requirement across the value chain and translate that into a strategy for the department which is linked to the corporate strategy
Responsible to ensure that the department budget and forecast are according to plan
Responsible to develop competence in the department to meet the needs of business and stakeholders and deliver value to the business and ensure that the team members are kept motivated and create a high-performance culture in the team to deliver significant results
Job qualifications and experience, academic degrees, personal traits...

Bachelor or masterís degree in engineering, business or equivalent
Minimum 15 years' work experience in an international environment and a minimum of 10 years' experience in quality, safety & environment area
At least 6-8 years of leadership experience with directing QSE in new product development and experience in handling certification bodies
Experience with a multicultural environment
Solid knowledge of business process management in a complex environment
MBA or equivalent executive education will be an added advantage
Certification in Six Sigma (Green belt/black belt) will be an added advantage


Leadership skills in change management; managerial courage
Great collaboration, conflict management, and communication skills
Ability to handle stakeholders in a global matrix organisation
Customer-focused, proactive and result-oriented
Ability to influence and motivate people
Ability to develop customer relationships (internal) and balance the stakeholders' requirements
Highly collaborative and willing to go the extra mile
