About the speaker
Richard Newman is an award-winning expert in communication, storytelling, and influence.

At 18, he lived in the foothills of the Himalayas teaching English to Tibetan monks. Richard and the monks had no common language between them, so they had to communicate through non-verbal signals to understand each other.

Richard went on to work as an actor, keynote speaker, coach, and speechwriter, winning the coveted Cicero Grand Prize for Speechwriter of the Year.

He created one of the largest studies on non-verbal communication and influence ever made, published in the peer-reviewed journal Psychology. His research proved that you can increase the number of people you're able to influence by 42% through small adjustments in your behaviour.

He is the CEO and Founder of UK Body Talk, a global leader in training on the science of communication. His team have coached over 120,000 people include Microsoft, London Business School, NYU, and many more Fortune 500 companies.

As an introvert on the autism spectrum, he has dedicated decades to understanding and improving communication, for himself and his clients.

In his new book, Lift Your Impact, he shows how transforming your mindset and actions can help you thrive and enjoy a greater sense of purpose and fulfilment in your life.
