The BD (Marketing) Manager leads the marketing team to effectively support the business with marketing inputs and services while developing business in new markets / product lines.

Formulate, direct and coordinate marketing activities and policies to promote products and services.
Identify, develop, and evaluate marketing strategy, based on knowledge of Kirby objectives, market characteristics, and cost and mark-up factors.

Give adequate inputs to business to develop pricing strategies, balancing objectives and customer satisfaction.
Give adequate and relevant inputs for developing new business / markets and lead such initiatives with the Sales Team.

Initiate market research studies (research & intelligence) and analyze their findings to come up with relevant reports for the business to take strategic decisions.

Use sales forecasting and strategic planning to ensure the sale and profitability of Kirby products and/or services, analyzing business development needs and monitoring market trends.

Compile and/or design lists / catalogues / technical brochures for Kirby products or services.

Coordinate and participate in promotional activities and trade shows / Exhibitions, working with developers, advertisers, and production managers, to market products and services.

Conduct economic and commercial surveys to identify potential markets for Kirby products and services.
Design / conduct periodic Customer Satisfaction Surveys and reporting thereof.

Select products and accessories to be displayed at trade or special production shows.

Advise business and other groups on local, national, and international factors affecting the buying and selling of Kirby products and services.

Confer with legal staff to resolve problems, such as copyright infringement and royalty sharing with outside producers and distributors.

Develop, modify, coordinate and maintain the Kirby Corporate website with inputs from various sources and liaison with various internal / external agencies and the Management.

Direct the hiring, training, and performance evaluations of marketing and sales staff and oversee their daily activities.
Qualifications
Preferred/Required:
Job qualifications and experience, academic degrees, personal traits...
MBA-Marketing; Bachelor in Civil/Mechanical/Structural Engineering; Minimum 10-12 years of core marketing function; 4-5 years in a similar position; Bilingual (preferred) – Good command of English is a must in addition to Arabic; Exposure to steel construction industry will be an added advantage.
