For the Customer Strategy and Operations Unit of Janssen Benelux, we are recruiting a Program Manager Care Optimization Belgium.
The Program Manager Care Optimization is responsible to bring change and innovative care optimization externally (with our customers) and/or initiatives internally (at Janssen). This through the setup and roll-out of large, transformational (VBHC) programs with high impact across organizations, accounts and patients.
The programs are derived from the ambition of Janssen to improve patient value across the healthcare chain and to ensure optimal access strategies for innovative compounds.
Being transformational of nature, these programs are characterized by ambiguity and uncertain outcomes. The Program Manager Care Optimization leads (project) teams through this complexity by:
Translating external needs or trends into internal, strategic imperatives endorsed by Janssen Management Board;
Translating strategic imperatives into concrete, workable program(stream)s and solutions;
Driving and ensuring strategic alignment for the programs with the CVTs, HEMAR and RWE;
Leading and working with cross functional teams (e.g. SAM, Digital, Marketing, Sales, Medical, HEMAR, RWE) and across Janssen organizations (both OpCo and Campus)
The Program Manager Care Optimization has a role of high strategic importance and exposure, both internally and externally. As such he or she is expected to participate and contribute to external events and networks on the topic of healthcare transformation and innovation – with the objective to further increase Janssen’s footprint and reputation in this area.
Tasks and responsibilities
Effectively identify common, unmet needs at our accounts around the topic of care optimization – as described by the Janssen Healthcare Compass (patient centricity, norming & measuring, digital healthcare, integrated care pathways, collaborate to innovate)
Starting from these unmet needs, lead strategy development with various subject matter experts and business managers throughout the organization using a consultative and design approach, collaboration and critical thinking
Translate care optimization strategies into concrete programs addressing the unmet needs in the healthcare landscape, while engaging both customers and business partners
Take accountability for the delivery of these business innovation programs with a (team of (senior)) project specialist(s), thereby providing the necessary structure, objectives and day-to-day guidance
Serves as internal and external ambassador/change agent of the care optimization teams. As such, promote the care optimization strategies and programs as indispensable to innovate and implement for the future.
Ensures that running or planned programs are embedded in our CVT, account management and/or patient access strategies and contribute to our broader Market Access agenda.
Makes the best possible use of existing knowledge, experience and networks available in our organization, outside Janssen Benelux and in the external healthcare environment
Contributes to a team atmosphere of “knowledge dispersion and innovlearning (= innovative learning)"
QualificationsThe following skills, competencies and qualifications are required:
MBA or equivalent master’s university degree, preferably in (health) economics / business administration and / or an engineering / IT background
Minimum 10-12 years of project management and/or consultancy experience in a large environment, preferably in healthcare or consultancy
Practical experience (preferably in hospital settings) in the area of “Norming & measuring”, i.e. value-based healthcare as per Porter’s equation, data science, real world evidence and/or patient reported outcome measurements
Profound knowledge of the current Belgian and/or Dutch healthcare landscape
Demonstrated experience in executing and successfully delivering large initiatives with critical business impact
Strong involvement in strategic and tactical work on a daily basis requiring being able to quickly zoom in and out
Ability to gain empathy from customers by obtaining a deep knowledge of customer’s organization, business and needs. As a result of trust gained, have the ability to influence the customer’s direction and decisions based on earned respect.
Fluent in English and Dutch and/or French
