UCC Finance Analyst, Planning Reporting & Insights

UCC comprises 3 main product portfolios, 1) Fixed Connectivity 2) Unified Communications and 3) Mobility for an overall business with c€3.5 Bn in revenue and a complex operating model, working with multiple OpCos and product owners.

The UCC Finance Analyst role is pivotal in supporting full understanding of business performance into the 3 product portfolios by providing insight and analysis to the UCC Finance Business Partner and supporting the reporting to the Senior Finance Manager, Planning, Reporting & Insights.

Working closely with both the Finance BP and Opco Finance teams this role has an end to end responsibility for preparing, planning, reporting and analysis of the various country financial results. Critical to the role is the establishment of strong relationships with each of the Operating country finance teams; maintaining effective processes; producing baseline run rate; and providing insight into product and customer performance.

You will
Performance Management: Act as the control point on revenue/margin and performance management by ensuring good quality, insightful and timely reporting and analysis against forecasts and budgets. Analysis of monthly performance against target.
Forecasting and Target setting: Working with the finance business partners, assist in the building of the monthly and quarterly revenue and margin forecasts, understanding the different revenue streams, deal types and margin drivers. Own the annual forecast process in conjunction with the finance business partner.
Customers and third parties: Build relationships not only with the finance business partner but with local Finance and fin ops to ensure accuracy of the financials
Provides financial support and insight to extended Finance Team covering financial performance and KPIs. Partner with business to provide analysis to aid performance reviews.

You must have
Graduate, ACA/CIMA/ACCA/MBA qualified or with considerable depth of experience in Finance or Commercial analysis.
Advanced excel, with extensive experience using Financial systems and spreadsheets
Some experience working in a multi-functional and complex matrix environment in a top quartile FTSE 100 company.
Strong communication skills able to explain complex concepts to non-Financial audiences.
Engaging, intellectually curious, challenges existing thinking to initiate and embrace new ways of working.
Strength of character - creates a positive impact, comes across as enthusiastic and committed presence, impact, clarity of communication, challenger, considered.
