Job Description
Role: Principal, Marketing Performance and Customer Engagement

 Who You Will Work With:

A cross-functional team focused on improving marketing performance and customer engagement through data-informed strategy and execution. You will work with client marketing leaders and Slalom practitioners across marketing strategy, experience design, content, customer data, analytics, engineering, and media to deliver integrated solutions. You will also partner with account and capability leaders to support market growth and deepen client relationships.

 The Opportunity

As part of Slalom’s Marketing and Advertising team, you will help clients envision, plan , execute, personalize, and measure marketing and customer engagement across digital and owned channels. You will operate at the intersection of marketing strategy, content, customer data, and technology, translating complex challenges into practical outcomes

 This is a hands-on, embedded role. You will work directly with clients and delivery teams to move work forward, act as a trusted advisor to marketing leaders, and partner with data and technology teams to ensure solutions are feasible, scalable, and measurable. You will also contribute to Slalom’s market and capability growth through sales support, mentoring, and solution development

 What You Will Do:

Client Delivery and Impact:


  • Lead or support engagements focused on marketing performance, personalization, and customer engagement
  • Assess marketing maturity and performance across websites, content platforms, marketing automation, journey orchestration, customer data, analytics, and MarTech and AdTech ecosystems
  • Design future-state capabilities across digital experience optimization, content and personalization, marketing automation, customer data and identity, and marketing measurement
  • Develop practical roadmaps and execution plans in partnership with delivery teams
  • Support delivery by removing blockers and maintaining momentum

Communication, Influence, and Leadership:


  •  Build trusted relationships with client stakeholders through consistent presence and credibility
  •  Engage with client teams to understand priorities, surface opportunities, and guide next steps
  • Translate complex marketing, data, and technology topics into clear recommendations

 Business Development and Capability Growth:

  • Identify opportunities within client environments to expand scope and impact
  • Support proposal development, solutioning, and SOW creation
  • Contribute to sales conversations with a clear point of view on modern marketing, content, data, and measurement
  • Support capability growth through playbooks, assets, and mentoring

What You Will Bring:

Experience and Background:


  •  6-10 years of experience across marketing, digital, content, customer data, analytics, MarTech, AdTech, or consulting roles
  • Experience as a hands-on marketing practitioner or consultant, not solely a strategist
  • Strong background in marketing performance, digital experiences, content, and personalization
  • Experience working with customer data platforms, analytics, and marketing systems
  • Proven ability to work directly with marketing leaders and cross-functional teams

  • Ability to balance strategic thinking with execution-oriented problem solving
  • Strong communication and storytelling skills
  • Comfort navigating ambiguity and shifting priorities

 Preferred Tools and Platforms

  • Strong exposure to (not required to be a deep expert in) an array of MarTech, AdTech, SalesTech tools, including customer data platforms, analytics tools, content management systems, marketing automation and journey orchestration tools, and cloud data environments such as Snowflake, Databricks, and AWS
  • Ability to understand how platforms work together to support marketing performance and customer experience

 Slalom is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. For this role, we are hiring at the following levels and targeted base pay salary ranges: The targeted base salary pay range for a Principal Consultant in Miami FL, is $122,000 to $172,000 per year. In addition, individuals may be eligible for an annual discretionary bonusActual compensation will depend upon an individual’s skills, experience, qualifications, location, and other relevant factors. The salary pay range is subject to change and may be modified at any time.
