Objective
The CoreNet Global Academic Challenge invites university student teams worldwide to take on the role of an internal corporate real estate team and propose a strategic solution to a real-world corporate real estate issue, aiming to build awareness of and a talent pipeline into the corporate real estate profession.

Overview
The CoreNet Global Academic Challenge is an annual global competition run by CoreNet Global, the leading membership association for corporate real estate professionals. Student teams are asked to act as an internal corporate real estate team and develop a strategic solution to a real-world issue facing corporate real estate departments, such as closing the gap between the speed of business and the speed of real estate.
Eligibility
- Open to all students (undergraduate or graduate, full-time or part-time) currently registered at a recognized university, worldwide.
Team Composition
- Teams of 2 to 4 students.
- Members may come from different academic programs and/or different institutions.
- Each team must have a faculty advisor and a designated Team Leader as main point of contact.
Format
- Teams register online and are assigned a corporate profile/industry scenario.
- Round One submissions (written response, exhibits, and a short multimedia presentation) are judged by a panel of corporate real estate professionals.
- The top teams advance to a live Final Round (hackathon-style presentation) held during a CoreNet Global Summit.
Notable Details
- Finalists typically receive an all-expenses-paid trip to the CoreNet Global Summit.
- There is no registration fee to participate.
