Overview
The HEC Montreal CSR Challenge is a bilingual case competition organized by HEC Montreal and the Association des Etudiants MBA (AEMBA). It is a two-day event focused on issues and challenges in corporate social responsibility and environmental sustainability.
Who can participate
- Full-time and part-time MBA students
- Teams from universities around the world
Format
- Multi-round, case-cracking format including research cases and timed live cases
- Teams analyze real business challenges related to CSR and sustainability and present solutions to a panel of judges
- Past editions have included both in-person and online/hybrid formats

- The competition has run for over a decade and attracts international MBA teams
- Networking opportunities with CSR professionals and the Montreal business community are typically included
- A related case-writing competition selects the case used in the main event
