Facebook Connectivity's mission is bringing more people online to a faster Internet. Together, with hundreds of partners across dozens of countries, Facebook is working to help overcome the global Internet connectivity challenges of accessibility, affordability and awareness. Our products already serve hundreds of millions of people and drive substantial impact.
Facebook is seeking an individual to help build and scale our Growth and Connectivity partnership products and programs with Handset Manufacturer and Mobile Operator partners globally. We work with hundreds of partners around the world to provide affordable and high quality access to the internet and our family of apps. For example, our programs with mobile operator partners allow people to experience the benefits of being online for free without mobile data charges. Products like Free Basics act as an onramp to the broader Internet with services such as local news, health information, local jobs, communications tools, education resources and local government information. At our scale, even small optimizations such as simplified mobile account access deliver a huge benefit to people’s access to the Internet on various devices. Preinstall programs with smartphone manufacturers helps us ensure that people get the best version of our apps for their device right out of the box, and improve the compatibility of our apps with each device model.
