The purpose of this job is make the products available in all our locations on time in full as a part of demand fulfilment process while maximizing asset utilization and minimizing overall cost including RM/PM/FG inventory. Supply Planning Manager will be custodian of supply review with the management, supply visibility & integration, freshness, inventory turns & supply gap closure. This role has complete responsibility of product supply to India and AMEA region.
Team Engagement and Development: Lead talent development for direct reports, coach, mentor, inspire, motivate and develop team to deliver high performance.
Responsible and accountable to create short term and long term Supply network planning strategy in close coordination with IE & Site teams to develop customer centric supply chain and bring efficiency to reduce MCC / LCC costs and enable business growth.
Responsible for converting Demand Planning forecast into production / inventory requirements for both internal & external suppliers.
Plan, collaborate and build relationship with India and importing supply points to ensure product availability to fulfil demand requirements and also execute export orders to deliver as per the schedule.
Develop, implement and continuously improve the inventory strategy for all finished goods and raw/packaging materials.
Ensure an on-going optimization of inventory levels without impacting customer service levels.
Lead and facilitate Step3 to drive effective and efficient SNOP+ process.
Identify and implement systems and tools needed to optimize planning processes.
Drive strategic discussions with Commercial & key Suppliers to improve overall supplier relationship and performance.
Proactively communicate significant demand / supply changes and subsequent impact on business along with risks and opportunities.
Work closely with Activity and site teams to deliver new launches / promotions OTIF.
Deliver key functional KPIs including but not limited fill rates, inventory, freshness, Value leadership, NQC etc.
Manage, plan and control import cost and ensure spends are within the approved budgeted limit.
Collaborate with Regional / Global teams to implement/deliver new tools, processes and projects in India.
Context and Scope
The Supply Planning Manager is primarily responsible for owning the Supply Management Review (SMR) Process in India & enable FG Range availability of all sku’s at all depots while maximizing asset utilization and minimizing overall cost incl. inventory. Custodianship of Supply Review with a 3 Period Outlook (3PO) Process is important to deliver exceptional levels of visibility and integration into the SMR. The SMR delivers key business priorities within supply and provides effective supply gap closure focusing on the medium term i.e. the next 26 periods.
The associate will own the deliverable of a number of key projects that continue our journey to delivering the freshest products, superior customer service at a competitive cost. Therefore the associate will be expected to write up project charters and assume the overall responsibility for the successful planning, execution, monitoring, control and closure of such projects.
Staff Leading a team of 5 associates
Min 10-12 years of experience in supply chain
Exposure to Supply Chain / Supply planning operations
At least 2/3 years’ experience of handling team.
Exposure to Lean and Supply chain excellence is an added advantage
MBA with specialization in Supply Chain /Logistics
