What would be your key responsibilities?

Business Leadership – Partner with the Regional President and the Food NA Leadership Team (FMT) to set up the organization for success and future growth. You will provide business partnership via making sure that people agenda is aligned with the business strategy, most specifically via building required strategic capabilities in the organization to support our long-term Value Creation Plan.
Talent & Organizational Health – Leading best in class talent attraction, development while driving associate engagement. Understand the ‘pulse’ of the business in order to strengthen the health of the organization and ensure “fit for purpose” organization design with the right people in the right roles.
Unit Effectiveness – Drive efficiency across the P&O operating model by facilitating the adoption of Mars signature programs, offering strategic guidance to unit specific projects, providing P&O Business Partner support to all functions and partnering with global stakeholders.
Enabling Operations – Maintain a strong relationship with the MyP&O team to ensure all functions of the P&O model enable the business; this includes Talent Acquisition, Associate Relations, MyP&O, etc.

Business Leadership

Support organizational transformation agenda, most specifically related to: (i) OD transformation across the organization, (ii) cultural/talent transformation in our Food Plant in Greenville, etc.
Lead and provide P&O Business Partner support to all functions to deliver a People agenda that aligns Mars culture and behaviors and is directly linked to driving the overall business strategy.
Lead and manage People programs across the business, influence the design and implementation of P&O initiatives to meet business needs, advise senior business leaders on people matters, and provide day to day leadership in P&O operations while always maintaining a focus on associate advocacy and the people agenda.

Talent & Organizational Health

Champion talent development processes and develop a talent pipeline that positions the business for short- and long-term success and develop solutions to address capability gaps and key talent needs while ensuring that the right people are always in the right roles.
In partnership with Talent Acquisition, develop long and short-term workforce plans that translate into an actionable talent attraction strategy.
Coach and counsel senior business leaders on talent and organizational matters.
Ensure that organization design supports the business strategy and any changes implemented are aligned with The Five Principles and other global principles such as Organizing at Mars and the Associate Concept.
Develop and deploy the E&ID strategy for Food North America focused on engaging both the head and the hearts of our Associates to build a more inclusive and diverse Mars

Unit Effectiveness

Drive effective and efficient P&O solutions that support the business and position Associates for success – Mars Signature programs, Essence of Mars and P&O Foundations.
Work closely with senior leaders and CoE in anticipating and addressing P&O related trends and issues that directly impact the business units as well as provide insights, plans, tools and solutions to deliver outstanding service to associates.
Qualifications
Preferred/Required:
Job qualifications and experience, academic degrees, personal traits...
Minimum qualification: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Management or related field
Preferred qualification: MBA/Post Graduate Degree in Human Resources, Business, Management or related field
12+ years of progressive P&O experience, including 7-8 years in a supervisory position, North America experience preferred
Ability to develop strong trusting relationships with senior leaders and managers in order to gain support and achieve strategic business goals
Advanced consulting skills and ability to influence decisions to a positive business outcome
Comprehensive experience in development and implementation of strategic initiatives through to execution while acting as an associate champion and change agent
Ability to effectively manage change and work with ambiguity, prioritizing business needs and resources
Solid knowledge of global and local policies and practices and understand their application in solving business needs
