The Director of Strategy & Operations within the Office of MOVE is a key critical role.
As the Strategy & Operations Director for the Global Technology MOVE Domain in the Office of MOVE, you will keep us moving in the right direction by establishing a strategic business planning process, authoring our one and three year strategic and business plans, and guiding groundbreaking initiatives in collaboration with cross-functional teams. You'll work across functions and with senior Nike partners to develop and help implement the MOVE Domain’s global long-term growth plan. This individual will help craft our program and quarterback our offense, working on cross-functional project teams in support of MOVE’s strategic priorities and operations for the Office of MOVE to help identify and evaluate critical strategic priorities and/or strategic problems. This role will also help catalyze action against these priorities through strategic and long-range planning and performance management.

Working at our world headquarters in Beaverton, this person will join the Office of MOVE team and will be responsible for supporting the Office of MOVE Sr. Director directly and the MOVE Leadership Team overall to develop mid- and long-term growth strategies, to define initiatives and plans, and to build key operational processes for the domain.

WRITE THE FUTURE:
Rollout Enterprise Strategic Vision
Develop and implement the MOVE vision to better serve consumers into a strategic plan and translate into strategic plan, key priorities, and new opportunities
Connect the dots, elevate insights & trends, and generate ideas; Continuously guide teams to the future (E.g., digitization, AI, fast fashion)
Develop vision, direction, and alignment with the MOVE LT, Global Technology ST & GOaL
Drive integration for Measuring & Analytic activity
QUARTERBACK THE OFFENSE:
Build, refine and measure the strategy
Run the Enterprise-wide Strategic Planning Processes (SPKO, SPP)
Lead Enterprise Portfolio and Dashboard
Drive a coordinated agenda across MOVE and all partners of MOVE
Lead and build content for key business planning processes (QBR, MBR, weekly reports, AOP, etc.)
Lead and build content for the Enterprise Wide strategic planning processes (SPKO, CSR, etc.)
Harness strategy processes to drive new ideas for growth and generate partner alignment/dedication
Drive strategic planning for MOVE (SPP, AOP, RTP, PTW, QBR, MBR)
Drivers on the strategic priorities and strategy stage gates
Proxy capable of making informed business mentorship; Proxy for LTs in specific business areas and
specific meetings as needed
Help connects the dots to drive ideas to completion and anticipate problems using our network to drive & catalyze action
Help craft path to growth/ success for key priorities and align across functions/ geos/teams
Facilitate LT meetings, off-sites, working sessions and corporate meetings
Assists in presenting Move Domain strategy and narrative
Analytical (& Financial) Ability
WHAT YOU BRING TO NIKE:
Bachelor's degree plus a minimum of 8 years' relevant experience in Technology management consulting, strategic planning, or business development is preferred
OR, MBA plus 6 years of experience (2+ years' experience post-MBA)
Relevant Experience: strong exposure to Nike’s digital commerce and omnichannel strategies; strong knowledge of Supply Chain processes and/or technology solutions, including WMS, Order Management Systems, Digital Order Management; and proven experience with Nike Direct strategy & planning processes.
Strategic approach: demonstrated ability to use strategic tools and frameworks to analyze complex strategic problems, develop clear recommendations and present findings
Quantitative background: demonstrated ability to synthesize data and analyze research related to consumers, industries and competitors
Problem-solver: ability to break down and simplify ambiguous problems into executable achievements and actions
Project leadership: demonstrated ability to effectively scope and execute projects and to lead cross-functional teams
Presentation prowess: demonstrated ability to craft and articulate compelling presentations with engaging storytelling for communicating strategies and recommendations
Excellent communication and relationship management skills – the ability to present and communicate effectively to all levels of the organization
Team orientated: strong interpersonal skills and ability to work the matrix to reach project milestones, whilst also a pro-active self-starter who can work independently
Experience in large-scale enterprise technology program delivery, portfolio management and strategic development; including financial management
Working knowledge of Agile and Lean frameworks for technology development
High level of professional maturity & leadership
Excellent collaborator & teammate; including with remote teams globally; Orchestrate at a global scale
