Demand and Supply Managementís (DSM) mission is to optimize demand & supply to serve consumers, and drive profitable growth and inventory. We accomplish this mission by playing a leading role in Nikeís Triple Double strategy, focused on driving 2X Speed through a dynamic demand signal, flexible supply and inventory, and in-season optimization.
As the Strategic Planning Director for Supply & Inventory Planning (S&IP), you will lead the way in ensuring that we mobilize against and fully realize our ambitious strategic goals. You will be responsible for:
Work with the S&IP team to create, analyze, prioritize, and execute against its strategic roadmap
Write the Future: Develop a functional vision to foster the enterprise strategy and better serve consumers
Quarterback the Offense: For S&IP, lead the annual planning and strategic planning process
Be the Chief of Staff: Become a thought partner for the S&IP leadership team around Strategic Priorities
Lead select cross-functional initiatives, liaising with functional leaders and lending a diverse skillset of planning, analytics, strategic thought leadership and communication
Work with the broader DSM Strategy Team and internal stakeholders across Nike to ensure S&IPís work is aligned and integrated with the enterprise strategic priorities
The ideal candidate will demonstrate the following:
Experience in strategy development and deployment
Strong interest and experience in planning, manufacturing, and/or operations
Experience working cross-functionally across the value chain in a global organization
Successful track record in leading cross-functional strategic initiatives from concept to completion, leading virtual teams from across the organization
Shown ability to partner with executive-level professionals as a trusted advisor
Excellent executive-level communication skills, including the ability to craft and deliver high-impact presentations on complex topics to leaders at all levels
Strong quantitative and qualitative background with experience quantifying value creation for complex, non-traditional solutions
Bachelor's degree plus a minimum of 8 years of professional experience. In lieu of a degree an additional 2 years is acceptable
MBA or advanced degree is preferred
Experience in management consulting, corporate strategy, corporate development, investment banking, finance or related fields
Ability to shape and drive strategic agendas, inclusive of strategic visioning, expert data synthesis, and high-profile communications (compelling, high impact storyteller)
Ability to lead cross-functional teams, provide project management expertise, and to handle multiple projects at once
Expert problem structuring and strategic problem-solving skills
Self-directed and comfortable working in ambiguous environments
Superior interpersonal skills
Prior experience in innovation, manufacturing or product creation desired
Ability to work through macro and micro situations/complexity
Create white space for innovation and risk taking
Have a strong bias for action
