Versatile and flexible to work on all product types such as: tailored garments, soft dressing, knits, etc. to ensure that the product is made to company fit, style, and quality standards within a timeline.

* Create an accurate detailed specification package following design direction for each style that meets production requirements
* Draft a first pattern following silhouette, proportion and design detail when required
*Evaluate the fit of each sample identifying fit problems and recommending appropriate solutions
* Ongoing evaluation of quality and workmanship to ensure design direction is correctly interpreted and quality standards are consistently met
* Initiate testing procedure to effectively rule out quality problems and ensure fabric and garment performance meets company standards and make recommendations for improvement when required
* Inspect garments at store level following flip dates to ensure production meets final approval inspection/QC standards
* Regularly review base size specifications, grade rules, and figure types to ensure size range meets company objectives
* Troubleshoot and anticipate possible problems in production offering appropriate solutions
* Maintain and update product information, filing systems, computer systems, catalogues, library, and technical work areas
* Review lab test reports, identify quality issues and communicate necessary improvements to vendors
* Write and communicate detailed comments to vendor after each fitting
* Follow the development and production cycle/timelines to ensure all technical deadlines are achieved
* Assess the technical ability to produce Club Monaco product and communicate findings to a senior level to support the strategic objectives of the company

Skills and Requirements
At least five years experience in Design/Technical Design Computer proficiency in MS Office: Outlook, Excel, Word, Gerber Silhouette 2000, WEB PDM, Illustrator and Photoshop.
Excellent interpersonal skills supporting a team environment
Excellent English communication skills - verbal and written
Excellent time management/project skills
Strong planning and organizational skills with a sense of priority for deadlines and attention to detail
Ability to recognize and react to changing work demands
Comfortable and confident in making effective autonomous (and group) decisions in a timely manner Goal oriented: ability to stay focused on creating winning results
Ability to interpret and execute designs from a sketch to a final pattern or specification
Knowledge of fabric construction, finishes, and techniques
Good planning and negotiating skills
Advanced knowledge of pattern making, draping, garment construction, grading, and factory production
Experience with factory setting and production
Strong knowledge of fabric and yarn construction finishes and techniques
Strong knowledge of garment and fabric testing i.e. wet and dry crocking
Ability to endure prolonged standing at pattern drafting table
Ability to lift 20 lbs
Ability to travel to local/overseas factories, stores, offices
