The Retail Business Insights Manager should be an organized, well-spoken, insights driven, and detail-oriented individual that can help drive the mobile retail business through market insights, statistical analysis, and program management. They must also apply a wide range of retail knowledge, technical skills, and abilities to analyze and manage strategic initiatives to drive the sellout performance of Samsung Mobile.
This position will support and drive strategic initiatives that center around channel sales planning, survey design/deployment, and program management, while crafting & communicating insightful findings and results to Samsung Retail and Samsung Mobile leadership.
Role and Responsibilities
Lead highly visible direct dealer programs
Design product & consumer surveys that capture marketplace insights that can be turned into meaningful insights for retail and Samsung mobile
Develop & collect actionable insights across Consumers Experience Journey, to improve and influence consumer experience, which drives Retailís strategic initiatives for Samsung mobile
Manage multiple retail vendors that support market research, sales programs, and other retail initiatives (sampling, questionnaire, analysis, ensuring data accuracy) with limited support
Apply expertise in quantitative analysis, statistical modeling, and data visualization to synthesize trends into actionable insights and tell the story behind the numbers
Conduct deep-dive analyses and based on key findings and insights gained, recommend tactical action plans for the Retail and SEA mobile to drive sales across all product categories
Work cross-functionally to identify current organization gaps and emerging trends and recommend solutions based on quantitative analyses and market insights
Ability to effectively manage projects with minimum supervision and guidance from manager to achieve team goals and complete work assignments within established time frames
Ability to manage and lead direct report(s)
Skills and Qualifications:
Bachelorís in Business/Marketing/Product Management or related field (MBA preferred)
6-10 years of experience in Retail, CPG (consumer packaged goods) or Wireless industry
Experience with Tableau, Excel, Powerpoint, and R/Python
Strong Business Acumen to fully understand business issues to tackle and provide meaningful, impactful recommendations
Excellent oral and written communication skill and the ability to engage and influence different levels and functional stakeholders
Capability to thrive in dynamic, fast-changing environment that requires a high degree of multi-tasking with minimal supervision
Necessary Skills & Attributes:
Develop and maintain excellent working relationships with all assigned levels within and outside the company.
Plan, organize, and prioritize multiple assignments and projects.
Review detailed product development, marketing documents and media materials as needed.
