Samsung’s business strategy requires a world class supply chain that nimbly supports fast-changing consumer behavior and dynamic business growth objectives. Achieving these ambitious goals often requires significant changes to existing organizations, processes, and systems.

To that end, this candidate will partner with top leadership to develop and implement Samsung’s Consumer Electronics (CE) Supply Chain Strategy. Senior Manager of Supply Chain Strategy is a process leader and engineer, responsible for overseeing the development of current business capabilities and enabling the pathway for successful deployment of new processes and systems. The role will require overseeing the current business process and supervising development opportunities - improving automation, quality and reducing cost. In this role, the candidate will be responsible for the overall business requirements development, working with Senior Supply Chain Business Analyst in the discovery and definition of new processes. Senior Manager of Supply Chain Strategy will be responsible for e2e process discovery, development and roll out - including UAT, testing and training. This position requires extensive hands on experience and business acumen in the development of large scale Business and Systems processes within ERP (Supply Chain) that promote the growth of the company and assures the Supply Chain scalability for a fast growing company.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the future development of Business Processes within Samsung Supply Chain. Success in the role will depend on the ability to roll out business improving processes, whilst maintaining continuity, improving quality and increasing efficiency. The successful candidate must oversee and steer a team to develop strong analytics, business modelling, process mapping skills, along with ability to define KPI’s and improvement mechanisms to drive performance. In order to be successful at the following tasks, the successful candidate must build executive relationships across Supply Chain, Finance and Sales organizations, be able to bring teams together, nurture team talent and resolve ambiguity.

Role and Responsibilities

12+ experience in highly analytical problem solving organization with demonstrated success in operations/supply chain strategy, project management, supply chain analysis/optimization
5+ Years’ Managerial (Team Leadership) Experience
Ability to lead a team and grow career opportunities for employees within a matrixed global organization
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Engineering or other related field required; Masters and/or MBA is a plus
Intense focus on maintaining business continuity whilst “building for the future” to ensure continued customer satisfaction
Customer focused approach to development of both processes and re-engineering of systems.
Executive understanding of both SAP and S&OP (sales and operations planning) Processes
Proficient understanding of Order to Cash Processes both BTS (build to stock) & BTO (build to order)
In depth knowledge of retail, consumer electronics, and/or home appliances is a plus
Strong financial acumen, and P&L Management a plus
Experience in leading indirect cross functional resources in a matrix organization
Ability to make decisions, give direction, provide coaching, and measure individual/team performance
Advanced problem-solving skills with the ability to work cross-functionally to resolve issues and generate results
Ability to communicate confidently and effectively with all levels of the organization, specifically the ability to create and tell a story with supporting facts and figures within PowerPoint
Experience leveraging market and industry insights to develop a vison and execution strategy
Strong project management, analytical and interpersonal skills required
Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment to achieve team goals and complete assignments within established deadlines
Expert command of MS Office products required (primarily Excel and PowerPoint) and experience with data analytics / optimization tools (Alteryx, Tableau, Llamasoft)
Ability to cultivate strong collaborative working relationships and contacts within work group, across other company functions and with external organizations
Proven ability to influence others and drive meaningful change results
Ability to gather and analyze data from multiple sources, prepare spreadsheets, charts, graphs and tables of information and to plan and prioritize multiple work assignments
Work under limited supervision and guidance to identify and ensure achievement of team goals and to complete individual work assignments within established time frames

Skills and Qualifications

Accountable for shaping and delivering transformation objectives in partnership with regional and global stakeholders in Product Marketing, Sales, Finance, Logistics & Supply Chain
Sustain cross functional support for large scale transformational programs focused on building ‘outside-in’ best practice capabilities to enable Samsung’s business vision
Align multiple cross functional teams including colleagues, stake-holders and senior management around strategy and business requirements
Provide strategic supply chain direction to Samsung Electronics America senior leadership, especially in areas of optimization, digitalization, & e-commerce
Analyze P&L impacts of strategic customer projects, present findings to the CFO and CEO
Use supply chain offerings to change the conversation with customers from transactional to strategic, continuously driving improvements in cost and service
Perform project and concept sales pitches to the customer on behalf of customer account teams; engage customer operations teams to collaborate on new & better ways of working
Innovate internal company and collaborative processes via improvement projects with lean and agile methodologies
Perform As-Is process mapping, Gap analyses, To-Be process design, benchmarking, and similar re-engineering analysis
Develop, analyze and report financial and operating data to management
Responsible for ensuring appropriate documentation of business processes and suggestions required to improve the productivity of Supply Chain processes
Owns development of sets of KPI’s where necessary to determine development of business processes over time
Required to have expertise of supply chain functions/processes (Forecasting, Demand and Supply Planning, SAP, Global Distribution and Fulfilment & Order Processing)
Must have understanding of cross functional areas such as Order Management, Distribution and Logistics, Component Sourcing and Manufacturing
