The product manager of Tesla’s residential solar offering will be part of the Product Management & Growth team responsible for market success of Tesla residential energy products. This person will help set the high-level strategic direction for our solar offering as well as identify ground-level issues slowing down execution and customer adoption. The solar offering interfaces with hardware, warranty, product marketing, pricing, app functionality, and sales process. Success at this role will require both practical and analytical problem solving skills to ensure our solar offering is compelling to end customers.
This role requires broad foundational understanding of the solar market, technical understanding of energy products, and an ability to connect with customer desires. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are critical. Collect and organize sales and customer feedback to help guide product offering strategy
Drive beneficial changes to our solar product offering with cross functional teams
Synthesize customer needs to guide new features and our next generation energy products
Identify gaps in customer education of our energy products and prioritize solutions
Author content to be used by various teams to communicate details about our product offering and capabilities
Ensure that various sales channels are equipped with product knowledge for success
