The responsibility of the Analytics Business Manager NAMR – GAMMA A is to develop and lead business of the GAMMA A cohort in North America – thus playing a key role in further improving our ability to bring our best specialist data & analytics expertise to our clients and case teams. The Analytics Business Manager will be part of the global GAMMA A leadership team working closely with the global, local and regional Boston Consulting Group (BCG) leadership, fellow Analytics Business Managers GAMMA A, Knowledge Business Directors (KBDs), and the broader GAMMA organisation.
The Analytics Business Manager will be responsible for:Taking part in crafting the global GAMMA A strategy and operationalizing it for North America
Shaping and leading commercialization of the respective analytical offerings including related contents and topics
Providing expertise on methodology, owning outcome from scoping and work planning to execution and quality assurance, ultimately creating the foundation to advance BCG analytics capabilities
Finance and performance managementOwn regional GAMMA A P&L, monitoring billings and managing dedicated budget in accordance with commercial goals and global GAMMA A investments
Define KPI and measure delivery, performance and quality
Working with case teams & practice area teams
Understand client and case team needs, determine case team and client demand for analytics enablement and respective GAMMA A offerings and services; own case team and client satisfaction
Work with case teams along the analytics value chain covered by GAMMA A regarding proof-of-concepts, rapid prototyping and case team and client enablement
Share expertise and best practice with clients and case teams
Build and develop external & internal GAMMA A brand
Define and manage external partnerships in accordance with global partnerships team
Handle demanding internal and external clients in a positive, service-oriented way, building a solid, mutually respectful relationship
Operations managementEvolve the GAMMA A operating model regarding people pyramid, location strategy, vendor network and infrastructure input in alignment with overall GAMMA strategy
Monitor staff billability and utilization, define, initiate and own actions to achieve commercial goals in alignment with GAMMA A leadership
Management of the GAMMA A teamOwn staff deployment and people investments (including recruiting & staffing plan)
Hire and manage GAMMA A roles overseeing professional development; apprentice other resources (evaluations, goal setting, training, coaching)
Ensure consistency of infrastructure and processes with other teams/functions

Your excellent leadership skills and presence pair well with your advanced presentation skills. Your ability to package complex materials and your deep advanced analytics expertise make you an effective communicator and a valuable thought partner for clients and case teams. You have strong interpersonal skills and are able to manage difficult and stressful situations with poise, tact and patience. Your collaborative skills and the ability to adjust your approach enable you to effectively interact with customers at all organizational levels always keeping a strong focus on customer service and needs.
YOU BRING (EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS)
10+ years of industry experience or 7+ years of consulting experience
Undergraduate degree – preferably in economics or business administration or related analysis-intense fields, advanced degree (MA, MBA) is preferred
3+ years of line and project management experience, ideally with international teams in a matrix organization
Significant data and advanced analytics tools experience and expertise
Expertise in product development and management, specifically in rapid prototyping, is preferred
2+ years of international experience and/or experience in a global role is preferred
Experience with multi location models (on & off-shore teams) is a plus
Fluent written and spoken English (other languages desirable)

You will collaborate with the GAMMA Analytics leadership team on a global scale. Client projects will be mostly in the Americas and could potentially be across the globe as well.
