The Director, Risk Strategies and Compliance is a key member of the Risk Management team. Reporting directly to the VP, Risk Management Services, the successful candidate is responsible for four distinct areas of risk mitigation and regulatory compliance. This position requires a candidate who has a positive attitude and is passionate about safety, service, and support. The ideal candidate is an experienced leader who excels in inspiring and developing a team; fosters partnerships; role models exceptional business savvy; provides business expertise and support; and actively collaborates with partners.
This leader serves as the executive of the teams responsible for:
Regulatory and Department of Transportation (DOT) Compliance
Overseeing Regulatory and DOT Compliance, with a focus on anticipating business needs and implementing strategies to respond to regulatory compliance issues including changes in legislation, volume increases, non-compliance, and escalating complex problems or critical risks
Business Insight & Support
Overseeing system sustainment, analytics and optimization, document management, and data quality management.
Maritime Risk Management
Maintaining the Company’s property and casualty insurance program and monitoring the results of risk management solutions for effectiveness.
Claim Support Operations
Managing all claims support functions and responsible for streamlining business processes, optimizing resources, and establishing a strong foundation for knowledge dissemination.
