We have an exciting opportunity for a Financial Analyst, within our Global Business Services located in Orlando Florida.


The Financial Analyst is a key member of the reporting team supporting consolidation and reporting of monthly results, as well as budget cycles, and analysis requested from leadership. This individual will have an intimate understanding of the reporting produced in order to coordinate inquiries from business partners and Headquarters. This team member will be responsible for preparing financial presentation content for executive meetings, participate in various projects or tasks, assist with monthly financial closing activities, as well as preparing financial models, and presentations supporting the quarterly forecasting cycles. The ideal candidate is someone who approaches projects with an innovative, service-oriented mindset, with a strong emphasis on data-driven solutions.

Supports division wide commercial teams aggregation of data to input full gross to net P&L
Maintains large complex financial data and modeling during budget consolidation
Conducts month end financial reporting and reviews journal entries for accuracy
Understands financial accounting concepts including preparation of financial statements
Individual contributor with comprehensive business knowledge within Abbott Rapid Diagnostics
Ability to execute highly complex and specialized projects
The Financial Analyst supports different Financial benchmark processes such as S&OP, Re-forecast and Budgets
Strategically analyze reports across all departments to identify gaps or opportunities that drive business improvement
Conduct and document complex financial processes
Prepare in-depth evaluations of plans and identify new methods of analysis and presentation
Close communication with business partners (Finance, Supply Chain, Commercial)
Measures Sales & Standard Margin, Forecast Accuracy, and Days on Hand
Interpret results autonomously using a variety of techniques, ranging from simple data aggregation via statistical analysis to complex data mining
Work both independently and in groups in a variety of situations requiring analytical-interpretive, evaluative and constructive thinking
Understand data validation techniques
Regularly ensures that reporting delivered to internal customers is accurate, rich in actionable content and useful
Liaison with leaders to deliver trend analysis, run rate variances, and cause of changes
Support ad-hoc analysis and special projects on an as needed basis

Excellent attention to detail, well-organized, highly accountable, and self-motivated
Excellent analytical insight, prioritization, and problem-solving skills
Strong oral, written, and interpersonal skills
Experience presenting and analyzing large quantities of data with strong spreadsheet and/or database query experience
Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with limited guidance
Self motivated, action oriented individual with the perseverance to push high value projects through to completion
Developed time management and priority setting skills required to work in an often ambiguous and constantly changing business environment
Demonstrated ability to succinctly present complex analysis to all levels within the organization

Bachelors Degree with quantitative focus, or related required, MBA a plus
3+ years financial or operations analyst experience required
Extensive experience with SAP preferred
Business Analytics tool experience (PowerBI preferred)
Advanced experience in Excel and proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite Outlook, Access, Word, PowerPoint
