Facebook’s Corporate Finance team is responsible for performing a variety of financial analyses and influencing business decisions. Key areas of focus range across M&A evaluations, capital structure planning, and industry research and benchmarking. The successful candidate will thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced environment by creating thoughtful, detailed analyses that employ sound corporate finance principles. The ideal candidate will have in depth financial modelling experience, thrive in an ambiguous, fast-paced environment and have exceptional partnership and communication skills.
Corporate Finance Associate Responsibilities
Analysis regarding financial & business performance, debt & equity capital markets and capital structure
Influence business partners to gain key insights with meaningful and actionable analyses
Perform in-depth analyses to evaluate mergers and aquisitions, new initiatives and effectively communicate key takeaways
Collaborate with a variety of cross-functional stakeholders to both influence and drive project outcomes
Assist with ad-hoc projects for management and the Board including presentations and surfacing research-based insights
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics or equivalent
3+ years of finance experience
Experience in analyzing a financial statement and performing financial modeling inside of MS Excel
Experience with MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, and S&P Capital IQ
Experience partnering with and influencing functional leaders
Experience working and problem solving independently, organizing workload and priorities, and completing tasks on time
Interpersonal and communication skills
MBA or MS in a quantitative field
4+ years of finance experience at an investment bank, private equity, venture capital, or technology firm preferred
