The Associate Director, Global Analytics & Insights helps shape global commercial development strategies for pipeline products through integrating insights from forecasting, primary market research, secondary data analytics, and competitive intelligence. This role is responsible to support the retina pipeline portfolio, which covers therapies for Inherited retinal disease (IRD), wet age related macular degeneration (wAMD), geographic atrophy (GA), Diabetic Retinopathy (DR), Diabetic Macular Edema (DME), and Glaucoma. This role will also work on business development opportunities assessment for the Retina Therapeutic Area.
Moreover, this role will work on cutting edge gene therapies that will bring transformation to the retina diseases. It is an opportunity to gain deep understanding of the gene therapy market, stakeholder journey, and extensive learning in gene therapy commercial model.
Provide sound analytics support for pipeline products
o Develop strategic insights by integrating/synthesizing data across various sources
o Support the stage gate decision making with revenue forecast and insights generated from market research.
o Support commercial leadership in communication to senior management and regions by articulating and framing the opportunities and risks
Support business development opportunities and licensing/acquisition decisions with timely evaluations
o Conduct opportunity assessment to understand the market size and unmet needs
o Develop and deliver revenue forecast with sensitivity analysis
Lead/support core business processes, such as LRFP/R&D Valuation and disease area review
Accountable for the robustness and transparency of the forecasts for pipeline products and business development targets.
o Facilitate and lead discussions to determine appropriate forecast model designs and formulate key assumptions and risks, and to align with business partners.
Conduct market research and analytics to ensure depth of insight and rigor into our decision-making around progressing internal assets and evaluating external opportunities.
Advance commercial insights functional capabilities
o Continue building up and improving capabilities in forecasting and market research
o Identify and pull through innovation opportunities that drive tangible business impact
Bachelor's degree in a business or quantitative field is required. An MBA or advanced degree is preferred.
A minimum of 5 years of progressive business experience in the healthcare industry is required.
Experience in forecasting or market research is required.
Experience in pharmaceutical commercial setting is preferred.
Experience in market research, especially qualitative and quantitative market research for commercial opportunity assessment and Target Product Profile testing in the context of pipeline compound development, is preferred.
Experience with MC simulation based forecast tools, ex. Crystal Ball, @Risk, is preferred.
Experience in ophthalmology preferred.
Strong learning agility to quickly establish sound understanding of a new disease area or master a new functional skill.
Strong written and verbal communication skills with ability to present complicated findings in a simple manner.
Ability to lead, manage, and influence others with or without direct authority.
Collaboration skills and ability to form and maintain cross?functional partnership.
Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
